New Residences Project Title: Bailey
Continuous, high clerestory windows wrap around the main living space allowing light and the sun to penetrate at all times of the day. The swimming pool is placed so that light bouncing off of it in the afternoon creates reflected patterns on the ceiling of the master bedroom.
The primary circulation is along an axis running the length of the house.
A telescoping sliding glass door allows open connection to a screened porch.?
The owners have a collection of Inuit art which is displayed throughout the home.
An outside shower by the pool has been decorated on the inside with shells set in cement.
The home looks to a cove to the West on Tilghman Island, MD. It has also recently been written up in the Fall 2010 issue of Chesapeake Life magazine.
The Bailey residence was completed in October of 2008. A swimming pool was added in the summer of 2010.
